Climate-Change-Induced Seismicity: The Recent Onset of Seasonal Microseismicity at the Grandes Jorasses, Mont Blanc Massif, France/Italy

Summary/Abstract

This study establishes a link between increased glacier melt to increased earthquate activity in the Grandes Jorasses using template-matching-enhanced catalog. The study provides the first dataset “linking climate-change-induced snow/glacier melt to increased seismic hazard.”
